2nd Meeting: April 16, 2010

We had our second Skype meeting.  Students from both sides of the pond were anxious to talk to one another again.  We keep learning more and more about our friends in Kenya.  They start school at 6 to 6:30 and stay until 8:00 at night.  Talk about dedication to learning.  We can learn a lot of good lessons from our friends.

First Introductions-Skype

On Feb. 24, 2010 Mrs. Saloka's class from Jefferson Forest High School and Mrs. Jonas' class from Staunton River High School got the chance to meet some of their peers from Kenya, Africa.  Both classes got their turn at Skyping a group of 9th graders at the Mercy Care Center.  What an awesome experience theses students had in class that day!
